Chryl Hoz
President and Director, 2017 - present
Chryl has been associated with The Sterling Group since 1986. From 1991 until rejoining Sterling full-time in 2005, she has provided support for a key Sterling partner in his various roles with Hydrochem Industrial Services, AXIA, Wheatley TXT Corp and Heaney Rosenthal Inc. She also continues to work for the Chairman of Heaney Rosenthal Inc. Chryl attended Rice University and studied Managerial Studies and Sociology.
Her love for volunteering, fundraising and cycling began in 1991 with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). She has completed many century cycling events with the Team in Training (TNT) program. While she initially had no direct connection to a blood related cancer, she now has many. She has served as Co-Chair for ARTcetera Houston (2008, 2013, 2017), Co-Founder of The Andy Allen Clays for a Cure Challenge (2014-present), TNT League Chair (2017) and is the current President of Andy's Challenge.
John Olson
Vice President and Director, 2017 - present
John is current the Director of Professional Services Enterprise and Production for Canon Solutions America. He has over 25 years of experience in business technology sales, service and support as both an entrepreneur and executive level manager. John attended Le Tourneau University.
John began volunteering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in 2008 when he and his son signed up to train and complete and half ironman event in memory of his mother. He became a cycling coach for Team in Training (TNT) and serves as a key leader within the organization. John is a Co-Founder of The Andy Allen Clays for a Cure Challenge.
Jeff Gunn
Treasurer and Director, 2017 - present
Jeff graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked in the deepwater oil and gas industry throughout his career, including seven years with ExxonMobil and four years with Shell. He has managed project scopes in excess of $100 million, and managed teams of multi-discipline engineers across Europe, West Africa, and the United States. In 2014 he left ExxonMobil to form Subsea Resources& Technologies, Incorporated where he serves as Managing Director and provides deepwater oil and gas expertise to clients like ExxonMobil and Hess.
Jeff has volunteered for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society since 2007, including recruiting and coaching bicycling teams for fundraising and as co-organizer of special fundraising events.
